Well, we finally left the house. The hardest part of the trip. Leaving your home on an extended voyage is really hard for most people. You are never really ready, at some point you just go.
We really froze today. It was very cold and windy.
Interesting comment as we were approaching the Martinez railroad bridge.
The bridge operator said after I called him on the radio," yes I see you the white sailboat heading south. Well the water there runs east and west, I wondered why he would say that.
He has trains running perpendicular the the water way all day that are the east and west bound Amtrak trains, hence his orientation is a little skewed.
Dinner at the St Francis was good and we are glad we went in. Came out to a warm boat, the new heater is going to get some use at least till we get to Mexico.
